It takes more than just a pedal steel guitar to make music. You need a good amp, picks, a good steel bar, two cables, and a volume pedal. You also need a teacher or some type of instructional material (both would be preferable). Some friends to play music with never hurts, either.

While a bit pricey, they are a fine piece of equipment and well worth the price charged. Nothing to wear out, guaranteed, and may very well be the only volume pedal you will ever need to buy.
